Footprints in Sussex

               We specialise in our home county...

We have been living and working in West Sussex, at the foot of the South Downs, for most of our lives and 30 years ago
founded the family business 'Footprints of Sussex '.
Since then we have been involved with countless countryside walking projects IN Sussex such as The Downs Link , The Serpent Trail ,The High Weald Landscape Trail , Andy Goldsworthy's Moonlit Path , The West Sussex Walks Festival & Walk 2000, The West Sussex Literary Trail and The New Lipchis Way
We've worked with hotels like Amberley Castle, The Grand Hotel & Gravetye Manor and arranged corporate days for such prestigious names as Triplepoint, Pictet, Exane, Kaplan  and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
Many of our walks have been published regularly in newspapers and magazines both locally and nationally.
Our own book "Walks for all Ages" was published by Bradwell in 2014.
Today the family's main activities are walking holidays & the Annual South Downs Way Walk.

William Ward-Higgs 1907 - Sussex by the Sea

Now is the time for marching, Now let your hearts be gay, Hark to the merry bugles Sounding along our way.
So let your voices ring, my boys, And take the time from me, And I’ll sing you a song as we march along, Of Sussex by the Sea!

For We're the men from Sussex, Sussex by the Sea. We plough and sow and reap and mow, And useful men are we;
And when you go to Sussex, Whoever you may be, You may tell them all that we stand or fall
For Sussex by the Sea!
